Yes, this can take some time, and is somewhat of a hassle, but it’s a necessity if you want to catch any deer this upcoming season. If not, you will just sit out in your stand with nothing to shoot at, which can get old pretty fast.

When in doubt, if you can’t find where the deer live, which admittedly can be challenging, at least attempt to put the stand by any deer trails you find, as you can be sure this is quite high trafficked, and therefore you can be reasonably sure to see deer while out.
