Hunting Tree Stands: Learn Where To Find The Best Hunting Tree Stands

Few things are more important to your hunting expedition as hunting tree stands. When you attempt to just hide from the deer at eye level, they are much more likely to spot you and therefore avoid your area.

However, when you are lofted some twenty to thirty feet above the ground, they are almost guaranteed to miss you, because they won’t be looking up as they walk. Once you’ve accomplished this, all you have to do is avoid having any strong smells with you, and you are all set.

Where should you focus on when buying hunting tree stands? Obviously, any top notch hunting store, whether online or off will sell these, and it really isn’t very difficult to find them. Also, you can check out hunting catalogs and magazines, as the prices in there will many times be cheaper than what you’d find down at your local hunting store.

With that said, if you are a novice and really have no idea what you’re doing, I’d advocate that you go down to the local store, at least for your first tree stand purchase, and see what the workers there would recommend. Generally, the employees will be hunters themselves, and use the equipment they are selling, and can therefore recommend you the best. If you don’t know what to look for, I’d recommend this.

Of course, while this is all important, by far the most critical piece of your hunting success is where you put the hunting tree stand. Just having a top notch hunting tree stand won’t mean anything if it’s in an area where there are no deer.

Go to the hunting grounds where you plan on going, and make sure you find an area in between where the deer live, and where they go to either drink or feed. Yes, this can take some time, and is somewhat of a hassle, but it’s a necessity if you want to catch any deer this upcoming season. If not, you will just sit out in your stand with nothing to shoot at, which can get old pretty fast.

When in doubt, if you can’t find where the deer live, which admittedly can be challenging, at least attempt to put the stand by any deer trails you find, as you can be sure this is quite high trafficked, and therefore you can be reasonably sure to see deer while out.

If you remember nothing else from this article, remember that hunting tree stands are an essential part of any top notch hunters arsenal, and if you don’t own one, what are you waiting for?
